Yeah there are exceptions... I was speaking generally because I do believe in more cases than not, it's difficult to have a true friendship with zero alterior motives by one or both if you are ex's. That's just the way it goes. It's easier to do if a few years have passed without talking to your ex and you've both essentially evolved into different people. But if the breakup has been relatively recent, the reciprocal just friends thing is an illusion

i know i hate it. trust me though, i like my relationships as drama-free as possible. i know this is my shit i have to deal with and i will. i hate fighting and all that and we actually don't. i refuse to let this turn into an actual big fight. not worth it. he is way too good to me and we have way too much fun together.
