What I am hearing from different friends in Houston/Pearland/Galveston is that the damage really isn't as bad as it seems. Lots of downed trees, power outages, broken glass, etc., but it could have been a lot worse. Basically was told it was just a really bad rainstorm, not a lot of damage but a lot of clean up.

Galveston on the other hand, if it wasn't behind the seawall, it was leveled.

Galveston was hit really bad. Crystal Beach and Tiki Island are basically gone. Christy's parents finally went home yesterday. Their house is damamged, but still standing. But the south side of the island that got hit first got hit in the nuts.

Not sure where you are hearing Tiki is gone. The island flooded, but everything is still standing and fared better than anywhere else. Lots of debris, but structures remained in tact.

There are some pictures here. Should have some more tonight, my friend that lives on Tiki is going back down today to look at their house.

Edit>>> I meant Bolivar, not Tiki. Don't know why I said Tiki. Bolivar and Crystal Beach are wiped out. Christy's parents drove down close to there and saw it first hand

Its a bitch trying to get some goddamn gas here. I'll be happy when everything's back to normal. If Houston was ever normal to begin with.

Remember, the buttstock of your weapon can prove usefull against looters or anyone from new orleans. Use with extreme prejudice.
