you can all thank GHB for destroying NYC's afterhours scene |
um thats not true at all. There is Mansion (the OLD crobar), Pacha, Webster Hall, Studio B and Roseland (my fav) for big rooms. The small club scene here rocks if thats your thing. Sullivan Room, Love, Cielo (my fav), Element, Rebel, Shelter, etc etc. And tons of Raves and underground stuff in Brooklyn.
The thing with NYC is that I dont love the large clubs. They are either too small or big enough with a lack of vibe.
I miss the old crobar, which is about the best thing we had going, and Roseland is only open for huge names like PVD and Armin.
Webster IMO is better than Pacha because the space is larger AND they at lest attempt to make it a clubbing "atmosphere" (ie: dancers, acrobats, drag queens, visuals, Midgets dancing LOL!).
However what NYC DOES have is a constant lineup, regardless of taste in music. There is something for everyone, and very rarely a boring weekend here. In most cases, there is too much to choose from, no matter what type of edm youare looking for.
