Exactly. Music that could be classified "Progressive Trance" in fact is is nearly unexisting these days. Yet, the majority of noobs tend to classify mainstream stuff preceding word trance with progressive, basing that essentially with one factor, that is track tempo.
Example that clearly proves that progressive trance does not have strict connection to track's tempo is recent Solar Fields album. That's progressive trance (psyprog), yet with tempos ranging between 138 and 143.

It's really pleasant to read posts of people who really do know the subject.

This is not progressive trance. Melodic, uplifting - call it whatever you want, but has nothing to do with progressive trance.

anyone?
"Autumn Lights" by Vibrasphere is a serious contestant.
Could be as well the Oliver Prime remix, if talking about progressive trance.

Yep. And seeing it not on the first, but third site of the topic is strange, to say the least. Looks like Markus Schulz and Tiesto are the true prog trance bad boys. Not Sasha and Digweed from the 90's.

I think I'm done fighting progressive trance misconceptions.
My time is better spent earning money so I can buy more 90s records.
