this really isn't about gays, it's about defending the idea of equality and civil rights for all over the idea of institutionalizing discrimination and projecting religious morality upon all of society. i'm more concerned about the precedent marriage bans set than i am the definition of marriage itself. any time the government tries to ban something, you should be concerned.
