Excellent year financially. Even with a deep recession business is doing well. Hopefully it stays on the same track next year. If i can wrap up a house or new condo by years end it will be epic.

Well that depends who you speak with.
For me it was good, well except for the divorce and not getting my daughter. But I am thankful that I am away from that complete control freak
And I am now back with family and friends and living my life the way it should be. FREE!!!!

I went through this same shit early in the year.
Split with my g/f (Utter psycho)
Lost my son to her,
lost all my vinyl(heaps btw),
Quit my job
moved interstate - Living with my bro.
started a new job, quit that, then started another new job!
Got a new digital DJ set-up/laptop
Sold my old house
Started getting more DJ work again (finally!!)

So yeah, it's been an eventful year for me.

Thank you Sushi!
I've actually been offered some work through Briscity DJs, but that's playing more commercial stuff and old rock/pop classics for corporate functions and events, school discos and maybe later some work in bars/hotels around Brisbane, Gold and Sunny coasts.
Going to meet up with some guys tomorrow night at the Pineapple hotel, getting to know a few other DJs working for them too.
Anyway I'll let you know when something decent turns up!

Good luck Brissy's absolutely shocking for nepotism sadly, so getting to know more people is really the best way to be getting gigs.

Have a steak at the Pineapple - They make some of the best in Brisbane

It started off being the worst year ever, even though I started a new job which has been the most amazing experience. Half way through it brightened up and now I'll end the year with a few accomplishments and a few lessons learned.
