i wouldn't take it back to the store. i can tell you from working in cellular sales for 8 years that there are very few associates that will actually try and track down that customer. most will keep it for themselves or a friend of theirs.

I can get the unlocked GSM Storms meant for Vodofone in the UK That's what I was playing with today, unlocked Vodofone branded unlocked with a Roger's SIM on a Data Only plan. But I was VERY VERY impressed with the Javelin, the tits! Larger screen than the bold, the only real difference is the Bold is 3G...

I was under this assumption to in the begining, I worked for Rogers for 4 years, hence my reluctance to return it to the store. Maybe i'll still keep the Pearl, I guess now I could get the unlock codes and firmware with Blackberry!

I prefer the Sure-type devices, myself; however, having spent considerable time with both the Bold and Javelin I prefer the Javelin. That said, I rarely use wireless data (I have WiFi just about everywhere I spend any significant amount of time) so I can't really weigh in on whether or not the 3G capabilities of the Bold make up for it's shortfalls in comparison with the Javelin.
