Technical interviews are a quick way of separating the wheat from the chafe, even if you legitimately have a degree.
Sure some people are getting jobs using a false degree, I imagine in the 30 second glance world its somewhat meaningless. I'd be more worried about people lying about experience and providing false references. |

If you get to fake your way into a high status job
you should get be awarded a degree in social engineering
