My medical knowledge comes primarily from being raised by a doctor and reading too much wikipedia, and even I can tell that some of the medicine is complete BS. Just gotta switch off and enjoy it.

Actually a lot of what they talk about is real stuff, though the stories can be a bit far fetched. It freaks me out a bit how often when they mention something I will have already heard it before and most likely did some sort of study on it.

Remembering it in detail though? Ahahaha, not a chance. I'm the type of person that forgets EVERYTHING the second I step outside of the exam room.

I was talking about it with my mum one day, and she said that most of the cases are technically possible, but so farfetched that they occur on more of a once a year + kind of basis, not once a week. But the show would be kind of boring if they only treated one patient a year. Though that'd give them more time to write in more Wilson/Cuddy/Original team and less of boring characters like Taub.

It's a good show, but many times too predictable, because all that ver happends is:

Person comes in with some sort of problem
First half an hour the team tries to figure it out without success while House strolls around
The last ten minutes, during some daily event, House comes up with the most far-fetched theory ever that...guess what? It fits. In between they throw the whole Cuddy/Wilson stories etc.

great show but really getting sick of the random mentioning of french fries and house figuring out the cure to airborn aids.

and i doubt their medical dillemas are all that BS, they always consult with medical doctors n shit, and base their stories on real things

I wish every doctor was like house - determined to figure out what's wrong
