| quote: | | Why does electronic dance music need drugs to be 'popular'? You shouldn't need drugs to enjoy the music, ok so I can see they might make the experience 'better' for some ppl, but you don't need them. If ppl rly like the genre they would still listen 2 it without drugs. Besides electronic dance music isn't exactly THE most popular genre in the world and how does popularity effect the music? OK so prehaps there would be less events/clubs but if it means less drug takers then thats good IMO. Finally what makes PvD playing to 40 000 drugged up 'w4nk3rs' any better? |
I never said it NEEDS drugs to be popular, but face the facts, thats why it is.
I've turned 3 ppl now, who never ever liked trance before, to love it.
Simply by giving them their 1st pill.
And I'd rather be in a crowd of 40,000 pilled up ppl than 40,000 pissed up ppl, coz chances are, when I bump into someone, they wont try to beat the living sh*t out of me
| quote: | | I can speak having experience of being on them and not being on them in a clubbing environment and seriously mate, its not like being drunk when your totally out of control and you don't know where you are or what your hearing. Maybe some people who do dangerous amounts don't have a clue whats going on, but to the average person on a couple of beans it certainly is not true that you lose the ability to understand and appreciate where you are and whose playing. |
Good point, I forgot that non-user tend to think that taking 1 pill will make the user completely un-aware of his/her actions/surroundings for a few hours. Not true, I've even mixed on 2 pills before, and I've never actually mixed quite as good, no nervousness and complete control over the music
And I do apologise for any past posts that kinda flamed americans for not being open-minded to the drug scene, as I see alot of you actually are, and thats nice to know
