I have relatives that have died from smoking and second hand smoke....but I still don't see why the government has a right to say smoker's can't smoke outside. People have choices and the government should allow them to make those choices. and right there is the problem...if people allow the government to step in and say you can smoke anywhere then whats to stop them from saying you can't drive vehicles or you can't eat hamburgers.....its a slippery slope. People have choices and we can make those decisions ourselves...we don't need papa bear stepping in every time we need to use our brains.

People do have choice. I choose not to breath in second hand smoke. Thats why there are rules about buildings and job trucks so i dont have to worry about breathing in all that shit... This is just an extension of the rule.

and a smoker has a right to smoke....so if someone is smoking outside...stay away from them. I can understand them banning smoking in places of business...as you don't have a choice in going to work or not. You do have a choice if you want to sit on a park bench beside a smoker or walk within 10 feet of a smoker.
