I think so. The name has been on the marquee the past few times I've been there and the website usually says "DJ Cassidy in the Marlin Room!"

Well fuck. I know I've said I'm unhappy with WH's new management and policies, but this one really takes the cake.

I've had tabs at the bar there many a time over the past few years and never had this trouble before.

I had a $97 bar tab, which in itself was annoying because for that much money I should have been falling down the stairs not dead ass sober from their watered down drinks. I check my bank account balance just now and in addition to the $97 there's another charge for $150. I called WH and was informed that it is now their policy to place a $150 hold on anyone's card who opens a tab which should be released in 4-5 business days.

They should really put a sign up that says that or tell people about it before hand.

Luckily I don't need that money at the moment, but really! It's not like I was renting a car or reserving a hotel. I am so utterly disgusted with that place. Their manager can rot in hell.

Other than that I had a lovely time and will post a more pleasant review + pictures later once I get over being annoyed.

wtf that is INSANE. thanks for telling us, erica. I will NOT be spending any money there anymore. I spent just under $100 myself and was NOT drunk. I will be pregaming like a madwoman and spending money on 2-3 drinks next time. Either that or go sober. I have no problem being sober if it means saving $100 because I was sober ANYWAYS WITH $100!!!!! thats ridiculous!!

and we ALL had the same problem. Nice work, Webster Hall, way to recover from the economy by pissing off people where they are most likely to NOT come back...do NOT f*Ck with people's DRINKS!!

That, and their coat check?? get it together people!! YOu are getting worse before you get better.

What was up with coat check?! The back of the line was on the first floor. Screw that!!! I wasn't going to waste time standing in line just to check in my coat. They should have at least two coat check areas for a night like Sat.

Its funny how clubs try to rip people off as much as they can when there is somebody big in town.

Even the fucking parking lots rip people off.

Usually the parking lot around the block from WH is $25 (which isnt that bad). Saturday it was $45....wtfff

Burak, you're welcome; anytime I can do an ID, I feel so l33t. And what the fuck was before, "Shanti"?!?

Rory, yeah you really need help practicing your Tiesto signature.

And SebG, I was really um pissed that I had to sing, "Beautiful" while taking a piss haha.

There are 2 new mixes of Adagio coming out, DJ Yvan - Adagio for Strings 2009 (Original Mix) and DJ Yvan - Adagio for Strings 2009 (Phil Green Rework). I only mention this cause someone put Deadmau5 remix? in their post, and these have his sound.

Anyway, I wasn't able to make it to the club, but did go to the signing, and was disappointed to see a weak turn out there. I got there and he was already playing Made of Love. Nice encore of Punk there haha. He was a nice guy afterward at the signing. Really appreciates his fans. Nice to see Jay there getting his snowboard signed haha

erica unfortunately they do that in lots of places; pacha holds $200. I have that $150 on my card right now too which I wasn't the happiest about. best case is buy a drink at a time and sign for it each time. .

To his defense, Trump didn't even really look like a bum.

There seems to me no reason they can't do the authorization, and then use the same authorization when they charge the final amount. Then you'll only have a max of $150, or the total of your bill if it's higher. It's sneaky sneaky...

Its just an authorization, they have to do it, anywhere you open a tab they do it, what if you open a tab, drink a lot and the card declines? they just do it to be on a safer side
