That still doesn't change the fact that a majority of people who like to type need to actually feel a button being depressed in order to type effectively. A lot of people don't mind the on-screen keyboard, but I doubt I could get used to it, even if there is a landscape keyboard available.

While I said the same thing, I have used both the iPhone and the BB Storm. I can honestly say, I am fine with an on-screen keyboard, as long as the buttons aren't too small and the touch response is more than adequate. No tactile feedback is really necessary. It is more nostalgic than anything.

This is coming from someone who was very seriously anti-touch keyboards. Tactile feedback is great, but pointless on a touchscreen keyboard. Just have a sound play. That is enough.

I heard the Blackberry Storm did it all wrong, and their perception of tactile feedback was messed up. What did the Storm do wrong to fail so miserably in creating a touchscreen phone? It doesn't seem like it's all that bad in videos, but people who actually used it say they hated it.

I'm sure anyone could get used to an iPhone's keyboard, but something tells me I'd feel more comfortable with a Palm Pre.

Except for the fact that the Bold is basically (6mm x 7mm x 0mm difference) the same size. So, how is it way too big? And the Javelin is the basically the same dimensions too. Fail man, fail.
