Disney films can still touch kids.

Learned what basslines are and what subtle swing is from Michael Jackson and Mr. Quincey Jones.
One of my favorites...

wow, the ignorance in that statement is astounding, as is the irony.

Again, astounding ignorance. Why don't i hear you praising Hitler for his dramatic and effective social reforms he pioneered and we use to this day (one example, interstates. many more tho)? Is it because he also was a mass murderer? tell me, just how many number 1 hits does it take to make one act of child molestation ok?
No wait, I'll ask your sister....

ignorant or not, those kids "had fun" at MJ's place with the parents' consent. i'm sure they knew what they were getting their kids into. hell, that's easy money once they sue the king of pop that their child was "molested".

Went to King King last night and at about midnight the DJ broke off 3 consecutive non udulterated MJ songs. Everyone got up to dance...it was amazing.
I kind of got choked up a bit, I must admit.
Fkn great fun....

I think there's a generational disparity between people who respect him as an artist and those who view him as a washed up pop star turned kiddie fiddler. Most (not all) who grew up listening to MJ's tracks between 78 and 93 tend to recognize the incredible impact he had on music. If you grew up after that period, then you probably saw the ongoing drama about his various court cases, his deteriorating face, marriage to Lisa Marie, etc.
