Crap, Ian, I just remembered that we had a whole conversation at SY revolving around the fact that you don't drink! How many did I coax you into anyway?? Hahah, so much for me being the responsible one.
Mikey, yes it DID go from Rez to Cowgirl back to Rez, and in fact I remember a very confused conversation about this with (I think) Jamie.
"This is Cowgirl right?"
"No, this isn't Cowgirl... I don't think it is anyway."
"Oh, I guess I haven't heard their stuff in a while..."
(about 30 seconds pass)
"Now it's Cowgirl."
"What? It's the same track."
"It is?"
(another 2 minutes pass)
"No, see, now it's back to the other one... never mind."
In hindsight, it probably should have been obvious to me that it was their "Rez-cowgirl" mix that they first put out over 9 years ago ("Everything, Everything") and have played like a thousand times at every event. But since I've never seen them live before, I guess it didn't click.
And so yeah, the concert was basically retarded. I wish they'd played 'til 12:30 but I'll take 90 minutes of quality over 6 hours of filler any day.
Crack dancing to the intro set was also much fun, for those who participated. For those who wussed out, you clearly need to practice and drink more.
