Miami lost.
I knew we were doomed when I opened up ESPN360 in my browser, went to the bathroom, and came back to find my son had put my laptop on the floor and stepped on it and crasked the screen hardcore.
It was a sign. I knew it right then.
I also had a feeling that if we go 3-1 after going 2-0, this would've been the day we lost. GT was a huge game last week and it's hard to get yourself up for a game like two weeks in a roll, let alone it would've needed to be the third week.
And I'm sure they have been thinking about Oklahoma next week a bit, even if they say they weren't.
Think the media might've hurt Miami mentally, too, despite what some plays said...
The weather didn't help, but not an excuse in the end. We need to rely ont he run and our live wasn't getting any push until the second half. If it was dry, we woulda passed all over them (we had tons of dropped passes, especially at key times of the game)...but everyone was having a hard time with the rain and we had to erly ont her un and didn't do much until the second half and it was too late. Just would eat too much of the clock.
When we got momentum after a quick score and getting the ball back in the 3rd Q, our TE dropped two wide open passes that wouldn't been big gains...both first downs, but after dropping them and having to punt, momentum was killed.
Either way, with most of our team still very young, the big question is how will we respond. Last year after the big loss to GT, the team fell apart. If we don't this time around, I think we'll be fine. Growing pains.
