I do not unfortunately as the rest is by Droog guys, I believe Andrei posted his portion which came after mine in the westcoast event thread.

I finally listened to this, Clovis. Awesome, awesome stuff. Like Adam and others have said, the mixing is no problem at all. It's hard to transition between the kind of tracks that you used in this set, specially during the earlier portion and you pulled it off very well.

Also agree with Adam that the star of the show is your track selection (as always). Your sense of what to play, when to play it, and where to play it is truly remarkable. You really hit the nail on the head with the set you played to open for Lee and Lawler at Avalon and you did the same here. Two completely different settings, handled perfectly.

Another thing I've always said (specially about Jay and his sets), is that one of the marks of a great DJ is that he/she can make me enjoy music that I didn't enjoy the first time around. For example, I had already heard "Isch" before and I even bought it when it came out, but I still wasn't too fond of it. However, in the context of this set it sounds amazing and you just made me want to go play around with it.

Also, I really, really liked "Rene". It's fresh, classy, and groovy. Keep doing stuff like this, I love it! When is it coming out?

Thanks man. Have no home for the track yet, but I'm not done with it either.

I thought the set started well, I enjoyed hearing The Black Dog - Invisible Things (Mescalitos Mix) outside of Gu:24/7 for a change and Raw Cuts #5 is my favourite out the MCDE tracks and always seems to go down well. I thought things went down hill a little bit until Oasis Nine came on. It finished pretty strongly though with Isch and We All, this would have set up Magda quite well I'm guessing.
Overall though it had a decent groove which is key for a warmup.

Listened to this 3 times this morning while studying for an exam, really relaxed me. "Gestures" was my favorite, thanks for that tune. "Rene" is really good too, looks like we don't have a Howells on our hands

Might be my own lack of exploring, but this style is rarely heard by me. Maybe a single track of similar style will be used as an opener, but to build majority of a set with them and have it go somewhere, that's pretty impressive. I would love to hear this at a chill spot like what you guys have going.

Who are you influences on this style?

That was my least favorite part. I jumped around too much.

I sort of remember the tracklist, it was like 20 minutes

Touane - Promenade
Nobody - Jose De La Rues!
Minimono - Speak As You Eat
Lowtec - I Remember
Quiet Village - Can't Be Beat
-> into Mark E

wow man reaaaally ace set!
loved when the intro of Raw Cuts 5 was over Gestures
and the other tracks were nice funky bass with good melodies and dubby percussion (and cool talking samples)

win, imo.

i have to get a ton of these tracks now
