that tracklist is fake. i made it. 3 of the Anthem's are legit (as are the other songs in repetition), the rest are fake.

oh and here's my attempt to suck his nuts
quote:

The polar bear sat atop the final piece of slab of ice in all of the north pole. From every direction stared to him the desolate ocean, an icey grave and a plunge into extinction. The polar bear wanted to cry, but suddenly, his heart froze and he fell off the ice and into the water. His final conscious thought, looking up at the ever distant slab of ice as the darkness consumes him, "what has happened to my home?"

Paul Van Dyk returns back to the forefront of the electronic dance music stage with his audacious, innovative and thought provoking track, "Home." Featuring vocals from Johnny McDaid, it tells the story of a war veteran returning from duty, only to realize that the civilian life parallels his soldier life in every respect. Lyrically, it's an incredibly strong piece with a subject that has rarely been dabbled in among many of the prominent trance lyricists/vocalists such as Brian Transaeu or Jan Johnston.

No doubt the song is inspired by current events, something Paul Van Dyk has always been very vocal about in interviews; His views on the taxation of internet radio, the fall of the Berlin Wall, his distaste of tsunamis and now, most evidently, his hatred of the armed forces.
In the song, an unnamed soldier returns home duty to return to civilian life. He "falls in" with civilian duties and grows ever depressed toward being a "one in a billion" (no doubt, the view of a civilian). He longs to "bring me back back to where I'm from", after seeing other civilians raising flags in patriotism. He realizes his duty of spreading his country's freedoms to other nations unwilling to accept a democracy are a failure. He then commits homicide in an ambiguous manner: "your eyes explode with light."

It's a chilling tale of post traumatic stress that only someone who has nothing to lose can express. Paul van Dyk is just that man.
The production of the song is rather melodramatic, a stark contrast to what Paul has been known for in the past - absolute banging trance. A bit of a drone would even go too far. It goes absolutely nowhere, but then again, did the Iraq War go anywhere either?

Bravo Paul Van Dyk. Bravo
