+1

I've heard tons of 90 bpm tunes that blow away 130 tracks in terms of intensity.

I hadn't been to FW in quite some time, and it was nice to head back and somehow each night there is a little bit better than the last.

Walked in to a busy spot and I believe it was Simon Jain on and he had the room bumpin' along nicely, and smoothly into JK who played some great tech.

Would lie if I said I wasn't getting excited to see Timo as I enjoyed his sound from 99-2003ish and Ubik (The Dance) still remains one of my fav tracks of all time.

I enjoyed the rollercoaster ride he took the crowd on and it seemed like he was havin' a great time up there himself.

Agreed,

I actually found myself dancing so much easier on Friday night because the bpm was just right...You could really feel the music, and it wasn't just a banging beat after another..But, that's just me. I am a fan of slow prog, and even though Timo isn't prog, but musically he hit the spot for me!

It definitely was a very different vibe at Footwork, and like may said - you either love it or you hate it!

The slow chug can be deceiving at times. Le Dish were masters of this.

He asked me before the night to bring it down throughout my set to 124, and for the last 15 minutes to drop it to 122-123.

I loved Timo's set. Great guy too. I don't really like having to bring down the tempo at peak time in the night, but these days I much prefer slower tempos (124-126). The music breathes more funk, is sexier and thicker.

Damn, wish I was been able to make it out this one. You don't hear music played at this tempo very often in Toronto!
