For me 2-3 weeks is more than enough time to vacation. After that I've had my fill of the tourist life and I'm ready to return to work. Can't Imagine doing an entire year of it. After a couple of weeks without working, I don't know what to do with myself. On the extended trips I've been on, I get itchy to come back... not because I'm not enjoying where I am, but I don't like the feeling of not being plugged in to things from my home base of operation.
