Oh, I don't doubt it. In fact, GoodCans.com often ranks Grado and Senns side-by-side in sound quality. But God, do those Grado's ever look fugly. Senns as least have some sleek sexiness to 'em.

Edit: Plus, I tend to prefer the 'closed' design' over 'open' ones.

I'll stick with these:

Personally, I wouldn't choose any other headphone for DJIng.

However, I find HD-25s absolutely atrocious for home listening. They lack bass response and although I sat them on a wide computer tower for a year to stretch them out, they still squeeze the shit out of my head and cause headaches after 30 minutes.

the dr dre earphones are absolutely useless to dj with.

as far as personal listening domesticated i use my monitors for that. The sennheisers are pretty accurate for mixing indeed.

Agree with everything. The first time someone handed me those Beatz, I didn't know how much they were and honestly guessed $50-$60. They sound like a factory car stereo with the bass set to +5.

I'll stick to the 25 IIs, too.

I used to own a pair of skullcandy earphones (not headphones). The sound quality was sub-par, and they wore out very quickly and just sucked in every aspect. I do not recommend buying skull candy. Of all the earphones I've used (which is a lot), Etymotic research earphones outperform everything else I've ever tried (sennheiser, v-moda, skullcandy, shure, 'beats by dre'). Don't ever buy v-moda or skullcandy.

V modda in ear phones are good, and they are cheap for good sound quality. They don't hold up well for gym use, which u will yank them out of your ears occasionally. Senns in ear sound great and are built like tanks. Never tried those Etymotics...think I may switch to those when my current senns die.

I use Sennheiser PX-100 for my mp3 and Sony MDR-7506 for turntables. Pretty simple.
