They never said no sneakers or t shirts to enter, all they asked was that for VIP you be dressed appropriately. I dont see this as being shitty by them at all. image is very important for the longevity of a club. thats my 2 cents.

I take no issue with them having a rule. The problem is when they fail to notify patrons in advance when instating a new rule. Up until that night everyone was accustomed to dressing neatly and casually for all ares of the club. We spent $1800 on bottle service and to be told at the door that there is a new dress code and that a member of our party will not be allowed in the mezzanine is abhorrent. Had we been notified prior to arrival, everyone would have been dressed to their standard.

I think it's an incredibly stupid move on the part of the management. I want to say that our table was probably 1/4 or 1/5 of the entire revenue for vip for that evening. It wouldn't have been so difficult for them to have made an exception to the rule. If I had had it my way we would have canceled the table on the principle of the matter and done general admission. Unfortunately I was unable to get everyone on board with the idea.

One would think, just from a business standpoint alone, that the management of Pacha would have treated people who were bringing that much income to their venue a little better. If we were treated well I would have been more than happy to continue to spend money, bring large groups of people, and be a vip patron as I have been for years. After this incident I will never spend another penny on bottle service there.

Furthermore, when I went up to the mezzanine there were several people up there wearing sneakers and raver pants. Obviously exceptions can me made to their rule then. And I suppose our almost 2 grand was not enough for them?

Absolutely disgusting.

PachaNYC, don't you have a screen name on here? Do you have anything at all to say about the awful way your management treated people the other night?

It's pretty disappointing to hear stories like this because I've seen people at Pacha almost wear anything and get away with it. I saw a dude with gym shorts last May @ Pacha and they didn't seem to mind.

They should definitely be a little understanding if you didn't know th rule and are spending lot of money on VIP

Didn't get to stay the whole night, but Eco's set was phenomenal (huge thanks, as well, for the "life frequency" support, boss). Great party, guys

There has never been an enforced dress code at any Massive event I have ever attended. I wonder what sparked this sudden change, I'm thinking it has more to do with the venue rather than Massive.

Oh absolutely. Massive was, as always, 100% awesome. It was solely Pacah's staff and management who were discriminating last Friday.

One real huge reason why i like Glow in dc is because how interactive they are with there patrons. They have there own forum, and Pete keeps them updated with the latest info on everything. Not to mention they bring the best dj's too

indeed. because when i think of shirtless meatheads, coked-up fujianese boaters, and g'd up chicks puking on 46th st, "decorum" is the first word that comes to mind.
