Walking into Get Lost was quite the little shocker, but once all bearings were straight I had the best time that morning and maybe of the Conference. The upstairs room was truly one of the best times, banging and twisting my head for hours on end. The outside area was great and everyone there was totally up for it, no Miami pretention to be found...a very nice change! I'll be there again. |
I'll second that. I was there from about 7-10 and 11-4 and that place just wouldn't fuckin' stop. I'll definitely be returning next year. Seems like quite the fitting place for some 10th anniversary antics.
BTW, Mr. C was playing a banging set upstairs. He played a remix of Booka Shade's Wont Back down. I've been waking up with the song in my head every day since. I'm now on the hunt for live sets from him or any of the Crosstown Rebels tour. Good shit.

+1 Get Lost was definitely the party of the conference for me this year.

The bald bartender at the Electric Pickle was certainly one of the crazy things! At Get Lost while he was in the middle of serving us, he stopped, shouted 'Where's my Adderall', dug it out from behind the bar, and proceeded to wash it down with about 3 shots of vodka, and then jumped up on the bar and shouted 'Whaddya want!!'
Then at Hot Natured, we went up again, and he asked us to give him an easy order as he'd just taken 3 pills! Just about sums up that place I think! |
hahahahahaha! That dude was amazing. He was twitching the whole time he was making drinks. I saw him try to open a beer bottle and it smashed against the wall. He stopped for a second and then continued going absolutely bonkers. Too funny. Fuck that party ruled.

actually, most of the miami residents seem to hate all forms of electronic music, according to a homeless guy i met. |
Ask the Miami locals what they think of hip hop week? They will say they love WMC.
