The Digital Blonde - Electra this is like Gouryella, Airbase and that kind of productions, i still like them a lot after years listening, not discussing which tracks are better, new ones or classics but there are some good tracks released now... maybe only 2-3 worth mentioning every year but...

Joop -Act of Good (Hard Trance Edit) a track i'm in love again, looked for new Joop's productions and he is missed like almost every other trance producer right now.

Didn't know too that Armin produced some good uplifting tracks, can't believe that is the man behind the cheessy in & our of love, fine without you etc...

Maybe you like these two really ancient rare ones too. The first one is pretty uplifting IMO for 1994:
The Jeyenne - Nippon Nippel II @5:05 Amazing
Silicium - Spirit of Ankh

The first one as you said it's quite uplifting for that date, really can be called trance since the melody is so soft but involves you a lot, good share.

Second one is decent too, more complex.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXSRYKtuZqU This track it's quite special for me, i had the pleasure of dropping it once hands up and see the crowd reacting the some way.

If Armin van Buuren play's whatever track you imagine you see people hands up but few tracks can make people do the same if the dj is unknown.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjXfQnbQ5SM This is another track that changed my life, i bought a pack of cd's 10 years ago or so, probably more, most of the cds were techn but one of the cds had tracks like this ... Rank 1 - Airwave PvD- For an Angel among others, and.... THIS! Thats how i knew trance is the best music ever.

To be honest i'm not the kind of guy that says "classics are the best, now everything is crap...." but i'm listening while writing this tracks and.... is it possible to enjoy something new as much this really old tracks that you may have listened hundred of times in your life?

Mystery combines some sounds of other tracks. Beginning made me think of Chicane actually, I like "piano sounds".
Still like some of the Sensation White Anthems a lot.

I also don't think classics are best, still enjoy todays trance as much as in... let's say 1994, as I start buying too many trance cd's then. But I also can understand that some people don't. I do wonder, which tracks of today will be remembered after 10 years? I guess many will be forgotten. Cause probably is that these don't have the same impact as the classic tracks in the 90's had.

FRANK TRAX - Nebuchan is a sick one

Some times I imagine what would have been the reaction if a track like Arctic Moon - True Romance (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZSmLctTlHw) would have been played 12 years ago. I think I would gone as crazy as my friends who actually were crazy back then (and still are)
One the other hand what would happen if Armin suddenly dropped The First Rebirth of Follow Me at full speed?

THe first rebirth damn i've been listening to it this mornin!!! nostalgia and i started listening to my old cds, it's not one of my favourites though.

I think people would react in a good way, it's an energetic track... Armin plays Dustin Zahn - Stranger To Stability (Len Faki Podium Mix) which is completely different but it's a techno track, weird for me used to trance but people like it...

And about true romance this is one of the tracks of this year, listened to it on the FSOE day and spent months looking for it's release date until finally FSOE rec. announced it's release in may...

Some good tracks are done nowadays but i have the feeling that all the old tracks were at least decent, they were made with hardware and analogic stuff while now everyone with a computer so i think old producers started producing simply because they were the best at the moment and the investment in gear was worth.

However 4 Strings - Take me away i don't like it very much, the Re-Ward mix is more of my taste, takes the essentials of the original but has more rythm

And 4 Strings - Daytime (Sean Tyas Remix).... track of the year so far, Remix of a classic = WIN

About Armin, bet you never knew he made something like this?: Lilmotion - D-Groovy @3:09 is what I think is very uplifting for house
Never heard him play it, a shame as I think it's a dancefloor bomb.

Do like "Take me away" although it always remembers me of Dune.

Daytime (Sean Tyas Remix) is one that I'll add to my top list too, thanks.

I guess my taste is pretty diverse, only looking at the few vids I put at Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/trancemb#p/u

Lol this is absolutely new to me... i think the hi hats and that short of string during the "breakdown" it's what Armin did, lol at the description

Dennis Verheugd, Sjaak Scheffer & .................Armin van Buuren.

I don't really like it, i hope he never does something like this, his remix of beggin' you or every other way are at least floor fillers but this is very weird.

Good to have learnt something new

I found out Armin had a part in it many years later. Copied the track once of a compilation of a friend. Had a good laugh when I saw Armin at Discogs. The label was lol too: Tick Tack Tunes http://www.discogs.com/artist/Lilmotion

Think he never will admit he made it.
Liked Klubbheads, Porn Kings and DJ Supreme stuff too, very popular in the days when I went out till sun came up next day...
Do like some fun in tracks with certain groove, not all that serious: Kumara - Move Over (Mr Bishi remix)

Regarding hard trance, found these two tracks this year and can't get enough of them: Out Of The Past - Mystery (Fred Baker vs Vincent Gorczak Remix)
Public Domain - Make the Connection (vocal mix) Amazing uplifting piano
