1) Open the Guiness can.

3) Buy German beer.
4) Drink that.

Are we playing the "Name breweries the average German won't have heard of because they are too busy drinking bland pils?" game?

Not with the cans. They're designed to be poured in one action.

Uh...no. Even Germany's average beers are better than most other countries' efforts. Their best beers are, well, the best.

Until you provide proof for your post above (i.e. an "expert" opinion), my post will remain correct.

McDonalds make the best food in the world, until you provide proof (i.e. an "expert" opinion), my post will remain correct.

To make things clear, no expert in beer thinks there is anything remarkable about German beer, so you telling me there is and asking me to 'provide proof' to the contrary is much like someone insisting the finest wine in the world comes out of a box bought at Costco and demanding proof that it doesn't.

You have a computer, you have Google.

Not sure why it's up to me to educate you.

You claimed that "experts" hold a certain position, and I'm now asking you to back it up.

I, on the other hand, haven't claimed to know anything about what "experts" think on the topic of McDonalds. I'm not required to provide a source of any kind in order to disprove your statement.

That statement might be true, were it not for the fact that I'm a huge beer drinker. Though I don't claim to have any special authority on the subject, I'm certainly not a cretin. I've tried hundreds of beers from countries all around the world. Though ultimately everything comes down to taste, it is recognised that Germany's preservative-free beers are generally of a very high standard. Why else would the biggest beer festival on the planet be held in Munich?

When you've made a claim, it's up to you to provide proof. Otherwise, people will assume you're bullshitting. So, show us some "experts", please.

I am merely showing you in a way you are capable of understanding how utterly ludicrous your argument is. Anyone who has a good knowledge of beer will know German beer is quite unremarkable, just like anyone who knows anything about food will know McDonalds food is not of a great standard.

You might be a huge beer drinker but you are not hugely knowledgeable on beer. It is not recognised that German beers are of a 'very high standard' and your comment about preservatives just shows how little you understand about beer.

Actually you and others here have made a claim that German beer is of a certain standard, and have failed to prove it, because it is not possible to prove. I'm not sure why I have to go out of my way to educate people on a subject that they could easily find out about on Google.

You are so out of your depth.
