Body More, Murderland.

In all seriousness, I've grown to really love Baltimore - Rams Head is one of the coolest rock venues I've been to, and catching a game at Camden is still amazing every time. There are a number of cool bars I've been to, and a number I still need to check out. I have a couple of friends in Charles Village, and I really like that area a lot. The neighborhoods are patchy, yes, but it's a post-industrial city in the midst of transition. It'll bounce back.

Cool.

Basically I'm writing an article on the fact that Baltimore has the "Charm City" nickname. But so many people that don't live here are unaware of Baltimore's many charming neighborhoods and attractions apart from that of Inner Harbor and the Camden Yards.

So thank you for the feedback, it's pretty much what I expected.

To be more specific about neighborhoods, Charles Village and Federal Hill are both really cool. Other than that, my experience is pretty close to downtown/harbor/power plant. Still need to get to Fells Point, unfortunately. The worst Baltimore experience I had was actually in the harbor - gun shot on the Fourth of July - other than that, it's been perfectly fine.

I live a few hours away on the eastern coast of delaware/maryland. We go to Baltimore once in awhile but we go down to the harbor area. Inner Harbor is a nice place with the aquarium and that mall. I think upscale Baltimore is actually nice.

I've driven through it 4 times (twice up and back to NYC from Atlanta), and every time I think "Man, this is the most industrial place I've ever seen."

Sometimes man-made things like sidewalks and architecture can be beautiful, but damn is Baltimore fugly. The view from the highway is like blackish-red and filled with smokestacks.
