The thing i like with the drum machine in reason is A: it behaves like a hardware drum machine so its intuitive and B: you can do things very quickly like change tone and pitch on the percs so you can tune them better to the track, which i do a lot.
also, the way you're previewing the samples matters a bit, i know some are very picky with this. you want to go through the sample very quickly and not have to select it first to hear it. |
I have a TR-626 that also behaves like a drum machine!
I just don't have the time to produce these days. My gf is on the path to getting (herself? Us?) back into it. We'll see how it all goes, I guess.
