Nice shots, btw.

Theyre actually panoramas. Each one is at least 10 images stitched together. I could print them at a few metres wide @ 300dpi... I've yet to find a printer that can do it that large for a reasonable price.

I had a Canon 50D with all of my lenses in my backpack; 28-70mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.8, 70-200mm f/4L. I went to Santorini for 3 days to scope the area and take some photographs. I spent 8+ hours every day walking around the area with my gear but the real *bitch* was a Manfrotto Tripod I had.

If you guys think that wasnt bad enough, I also went down to the old port, 580 steps;

Then again another 580 steps BACK UP.

I bet you guys are thinking.. 'youre fucking crazy AND stupid'
If I had a choice, would I do it all over again? Hell yeah, you don't get shots like this with a Point & Shoot;

Great shots man. Fag status repealed.

General walking around stuff, with just a camera and a normal lens isn't too bad though. They just go in a shoulder camera bag.

That said though, I would likely think twice about it if I was travelling to a country where I might get jumped for my shit.

This is why I got an 18-200mm lens. Fairly good all around but there is a quality trade off. All my shots from India turned out alright though and I appreciated not having to lug heaps of gear around.

Next time I travel though I don't think I can resist leaving the 50mm 1.4 behind

Photography is always such a trade-off, isn't it My walk-around lens is a 24-105mm f/4 L, which has awesome image quality and stabilization, but it's not that wide, and not that much of a zoom either. It's relatively small though, and relatively fast.
