i wouldn't say they failed miserably, i went there on a few of their nights. the difference with tabu is that they didn't promote their club the way beta is. tabu was just a regular club with two different nights, one of which happened to be house music (someties). these guys went through this once and didn't get it right thats why i think they'll have more success this time around. i think they're actually trying to cater to the EDM crowd and care more about making a good club night. with the dj's they're bringing im gonna say they'll make decent money and be able to keep it runnin. i want to see this place succeed and i know i'll be out every weekend to make that possible, as should you. i'm not tryin to be confrontational or anything, i really just wanna save money from going back to Toronto every other weekend |
I don't think any of us want to see it fail but it is a tough uphill battle for it to work. Many of the people on a site like this are not going to be happy with a club that plays commercial house every night...you might as well just call it top 40 IMO.
I don't think it really matters how much promotion you throw at it....it will not bring in people from areas outside KW. You might have a small portion of people who will stay in KW now instead of going to Toronto but it won't be enough to keep a club going.
Reality is you won't be able to even tell if the club can succeed until it makes it through its first year.
