@ Nem: I posted this (http://www.mediafire.com/?rznj22ep9tl) here, quite a while back and this particular version of Superstition was updated, with feedback in mind, twice more after the first posting.
Music For a Nervous Night (mix quality is horrendous, by all standards, and it is both chock full of bad ideas and completely neglected real-estate) was my first full-mix album, patched together out of songs I'd recently finished with newly acquired software. (My brother has about eight earlier songs I made that may well constitute the "first".)
There are key changes in Superstition. At some points in the process, I'd think to myself, Jesus, I can't keep going on in this key and even if I just revert to A minor. It was less about being clever or even keeping it interesting for the listener and more about maintaining the challenge of doing it. The most prominent one is at the end where I was down-shifting out and just made it a point to start substituting notes in an entirely different key, almost to make a point that something different was happening.
