Yea his productions just sound sloppy in some cases. I think people graviate towards him in an era where everything is very tight. He's loosey goosey with the controls.

I dont really have a desire to see him dj. I've watched him on youtube and it looked obnoxious in most cases.

It mind boggles me when people compare fodder like this...

to stuff like this...

and the adjective they come up with for the latter is "sloppy".

I agree with this

I don't know what you are listening to now a days, sir, but I did expect more from you than to use "sloppy" to describe Theo's sound. Ebonics is THAT track, by the way.

Okay, how about sloppy drunk? Its like he's using old equipment, and fans are excited to be listening to music made on old equipment?

I'm not hating on all of his productins. I like what he did with his remix of Kuniyuki - All These Things. For the most part cannot get down with original Theo material on Sound Signture

I'm pretty sure he uses older hardware, at least for some things. I don't get why that affects your impression of the music, though. Do you not listen to acoustic music because the instruments are old? I don't get what you are trying to say.

I guess that's why its an unpopular opinion. Something about his mode of production just irritates me. I can't really justify it with logic

edit: lost tribe - gamemaster is fucking annoying and that vocal is stupid, it would be alright without it, actually most of the female vocals even in the nostalgia era, kinda suck

Isn't that a bit too general?
IMO also many people enjoy multiple genres at the same time.
If you have a job next by your study like most of the students over here, you earn money to go out in the weekend.
Gamemaster was that cool that no-one gave a shit about liking the vocals or not.
Vocals didn't suck at the time, it was a lot later that people started complaining about that in my view.

Two older examples with female vocals which I only can remember as being massive tracks:
The Mackenzie Ft. Jessy - Without You (Arpegia) ( Long Trance Mix) 1995

Gat Decor - Passion (Do You Want It Right Now Mix)

I can't recognize anything you're saying here from my point of view, which surprises me as you probably are older then the average age here.

Fair enough, I was simply curious.

What are you listening to now a days, Mark? I remember you having a knack for finding nuclear techno bombs.
