Don't get a wave IMO. It doesn't have as many outs and/or its not multitimbral IIRC.

The nord lead 2 is grittier from my experience of it (a few hours) the nord lead 3 is far smoother. Think Chicane's lush silky pads from Behind the Sun. That said, they both cover a lot of the same ground I think.

who cares about multi? do anyany actually use that? i remember having nord lead 3 with its 4 parts, i only always used one. i remember having virus with its 16 parts, i only used one. i remember having microQ with 16 parts. it didnt even have enough polyphony to use them all. its just a sales trick. The two parts of JP8080 where more than enough. I believe nord wave is an awesome synth! listen to the samples on their website, pretty awesome stuff. its about sound, not function. if u want function go software. Nord Wave also have what every other Clavia synth has lacked: reverb, chorus, delay. Im sure its an awesome synth.

This is possibly the oddest post I have ever read. Quite aside from your incredible inability to articulate in the english language (Did you have a hand in writing this piece http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...&forumid=48&s=?) lets talk about the fact that you're advocating spending several thousand dollars on a two part multitimbral machine.

So basically, you're happy to spend the money on a nord wave, just so you can use two instances of it, a few notes basically, that works out to probably about 300 AU per voice assuming you use 11 voices (5 per channel). Alternatively, maybe you think that everyone should bounce down each track as you record it. What incredible workflow!

But of course, its far more important to have on board chorus and reverb than it is to have multitimbrality. Right???? Because there's no possible way that you could ever add chorus or verb in your DAW
