Oh man, that was hectric to say the least. Basically, when I took my headphones out of the mixer after my last track, the headphone jack ripped out of the mixer completely. It was a freak thing. But, they couldn't plug into the mixer to cue their first track. So, I had to keep playing while they got a new mixer in. So from about 12:30 - 12:50 I was basically trying to beatmatch the incoming track by using the level lights on the mixer and no sound. Its freaking tough! But thats why they ended up going on a little late and what all the commotion was about. To the light guy's credit, he pulled through pretty damn quickly with the new mixer, and withotu stopping the sound.
Besides that though, Thursday was blast. both Super8 & Tab (not sure who is who) were so damn cool...just really nice guys. I loved their set too...It was just a very solid trance set...no cheese at all.
So many familiar faces out and about...made for a hell of a b-day bash. And thanks to everyone who hooked me up with Amstels all night. I was seriously hurting yesterday morning.
