Thirsty Owl is literally a couple miles to my parents home. They live 20 feet in front of Cayuga Lake, its so gorgeous there, I sometimes miss it Tell him to go 1/2 mile south from Thirsty Owl, and that is where the Hosmer Dry and Semi-dry Rieslings arethat I had mentioned.

As for NYC, there are a few places that sell in Manhattan, but usually only the commercial stuff like Dr. Frank's and Red Cat (the super-sweet-niagara-grape-sex-wine) I have to stock up on what I like when I visit the rents, but thankfully they are VIP members everywhere, so I get 30% off cases using their card hollerrrr!

I always recommend people to take a wine tour: limo's are SO CHEAP at $30 per person and tastings are $2 per winery (refundable when you buy a bottle!) Super cheap, drunk day on gorgeous lakes, who wouldnt want that?? There are SO many good wines to choose from!

Jay: There are so many to list; do you have a preference?

I think my favourite red blend is cabernet merlot, though I'm quite a fan of just straight up shiraz.

The awesome thing about living in Australia, with out massive wine industry, is that you can still get a pretty decent bottle of wine very much on the cheap. Or just buy better stuff that's on special at the time

Are you still drinking wine cos you quit weed? You should get yourself a membership at one of your local places and buy by the case. I get 30% off any 12 bottles at mine

Christ, you might be a musical spastic but you've got some decent taste in wine. It also scares me to know you live nearby.

I buy a lot of it in bulk through a wine club, mostly I prefer whites but keep a few reds on hand for cooking, serving with certain meals and keeping wog in-laws sedated when they come over. About 90% of it is Australian and NZ, with a couple from Italy.

Dry red is my go to choice, but I will drink anything if it is good. We do upstate New York 2 or 3 times a year for shopping purposes, so basically what you would consider the best regional wines would be something that interests me.
