Explain to me why you believe him to be talented even though you don't even like his music.

I can tell you're one of those annoying pricks who either:

a) Starts using a person's nickname within 10 minutes of meeting them.

b) Makes up their own crap nickname for said person and gets raised eyebrows from everyone else in the room.

When you finally get a chance to meet Skrillex at a gig, I can tell you're going to bound up and "Hey Skrilly, awesome show! What was the third track you played, Skrilly? Skrilly, what's your favourite colour? Can I suck your dick Skrilly?"

He played in Dayton and acted like an ass from what I saw (a friend threw the night so I came out to support).

I was asked if I had any XLR cables with me because ol' Skrilly was throwing a tantrum, refusing to connect to the club mixer with RCA. I laughed and said "Fucking REALLY?"

I mean, seriously... for the dirty wobbly brostep I was hearing all night, he was worried about line noise?

It's art. You wouldn't understand his talent

Most of his fans call him that, and so does Deadmau5. It's an internet nickname. No I would not call him that in person. I bet you're one of those internet pricks that has balls over a computer screen though! Or would you walk up to Skrillex and inform him how gay he is in person?

"OMG SONNY U R SO GAY N U HAV WEIRD HAIR UHHHHHHHHHGGHH"

Because I can respect someone's dedication and hard work without liking it? I've messed around on a few DAWs, and I have friends who make noisy electro house music, it's no cake walk. A lot of the techniques used are very advanced, far more so then a lot of techno and trance tracks.

I've grown past hating on what I don't like.. people take these things too seriously. Do you think guys who produce tracks for Britney Spears and Lady Gaga are full of shit? You think they're horrible musicians? They know exactly what they're doing, they know how to write a proper catchy hook that'll get millions of people's heads nodding.

Instead of saying "Trance fucking sucks," I choose to say "I don't listen to trance, it's too fast paced for my liking." I respect other people's opinions and can accept that my tastes aren't the absolute answer as music is subjective..

Holy shit. Someone being reasonable? On MY internet!?

I hate to pull out the whole "Let's see you do better" thing, but it applies here. While you certainly don't need to make brostep to dislike it, you do need to at least try before trying to say that there's no talent behind it. There is a difference between saying someone is a talentless twat and saying you don't like their music.

Also, not defending Skrillex either way here. I like his stuff, but I understand why other people hate it.
