it's all about your needs. is it buggy? yes. Is it as well-supplied on accessories and app front? no. is it useable for more than ipad? absolutely. I need a talet that can:
a. be used as a terminal server client. Have you tried using apple for that purpose? it's horrific. having a mouse addresses that niche.
n
b. I can hook up my cdrom, flash drive, sd card, microsd... ALL AT THE SAME TIME! can ipad do it? nope.
c. can I use it to take notes in meetings, both typed and writen? yes! and typing is much better when you have a choice. sure I can pair a bluetoogh keyboard to ipad but it won't charge my tablet at the same time too.
d. can I hook it up to another wifi enabled device and transfer data between without any issues? yes!! I can even stream music from my android phone to the transfomrer band back, including tethering the two.
as far as app support... sorry android, here's where i have to hand it to apple - they are still behind. however, i think that should everything remain as is on the apple side -in the long run, those looking to replace desktop will go with android due to flexibility.
lastly, it took me about 5 minutes to type up this post on the transformer. it would have taken me about 40 30 minutes to do it o ipad. and god forbid I would have to correct something.
in conclusion, I think that short of apple coming out with a hybrid tablet that can support keyboard/mouse running full version of macos, including flash.... it would quickly put an end to an arms race...
i'm not 100% happy with it but I"m about 500% happir than I was with the ipad.
