I think when pathetic artists like the "Cash Money Millionaires", Cam'ron (boy, boy, boy, boy, oh boy), Lil' Bow Wow, and P.Diddy are out there making millions off of horrible records, people should think twice about dissing Eminem's skills.

Im having trouble understanding a few things you guys are saying. I can understand if you don't like hip-hop. However I don't understand how people can say they wish he would get shot and it would be the happiest day of there life. Thats just pathetic, its also almost as pathetic how angry you guys make because he made a joke about Moby, and how people can call him a sellout when the stuff he raps about isn't rapped about by any other artist. Lastly he does have some cheesy singles, but so does any artist who wants to make some cash, if it doesnt see tv or radio play he looses most of his sales right there because no one is exposed to it, I'm hard pressed to find any major band or artist who's sold many records who hasnt done some extremly comercial shit.

I think Eminem has a lot of talent and he's a good rapper and i'm also enjoying his new album. But if I have to choose between DJ Tiesto and him ofcourse I would choose DJ Tiesto.

hmmmz Are you sure about that?

You're basically saying that you DON't like to listen to hiphop (in general) but that out of aaaaaallllll of the hiphop artists out there, of which the vast majority is black, you JUSt happen to like the ONE succesful WHITE rapper that's getting a lot of exposure? AND it's not because of his RACE, AND it's not because he's simply getting a lot of media attention?

That seems like a big coincedence, a little too big IMHO it seems to me you either :

a) Are being a hypocrit. It's so easy to SAY that race doesn't matter to you, because nobody can look inside your mind and check. Maybe you could admit that the fact that he's white and on TV 24/7 does make his music more accessible to you.... I suggest you scroll up and read the lyrics to 'White America' (carefully)

b)It's really just because he has some catchy songs and is being hyped / hyping himself in the media. In this case, maybe you should do some research on other (more underground) artists and the rest of Eminem's discography, you might find something you like

c) I'm talking out of my ass (not highly unlikely)

P.S.: I'm not picking on you in particular, nor am I calling you a racist It's just that after I read Sand Leaper's post with the lyrics to White America I read yours and, well...

i liked part of b.. lol.. no..

seriously when i heard his first song that came out on radio.. and mind me that i dont watch MTV or MUCH Music that often if not ever... i still enojyed his muzik.. it is catchy and i found that his more slower songs are readly down to the ground.. to tell you the the truth one of my fav songs of eminem is forgot about dre.. and d12 purple hills.. i enjoy his more recent songs cleaning out my closet.. and one of his older ones.. i am who i am.. or somthing among the lines.. of that title..

i listen to rap on a daily basis.. well hip hop beacuse thats what is played a lot on the raido's .. and i'm more of a radio girl then a type for cd's mp3's or any other electrical devise mind the radio..

i dont take waht the media.. says about him.. beacuse seriously i dont even know waht they say about him.. .. i just like the muzik..

going about the black and white thing.. is that.. i've heard white ppl rap and make there own stuff as well as in differnet languages that i could understand.. and it wasn't the same.. it was exactly waht i can't stand somthing that maeks no sense.. after the 3rd time you heard it.. not saying that it happens all the time.. but seriously.. i belive that each song has a plot.. and eminem is able to tell a good story.

I have to admit that I can like cheesy/catchy music (all different styles, including euro-dance) the first two times I hear a song, After that I get so damned bored But no other genre hits me like trance and progressive do

Well, not neccessarily what the media say about him, but it's not like he's trying to avoid the media either I mean the total media-package, including his lyrics and his comments about his family, personal issues, controversy this, controsversy that etc

I have no clue as far as rap is concerned frankly, i'm not interested in hiphop at all, and lyrics alone in a song don't really mean a lot to me.

WELL i guess you would have to be in his shoes.. maybe he keeps it in .. crams all his emotions into a tightly lided bottle and does not let it toout.. has no one to trust and cannot be able to vent.. and lets it out when ever the opertunity comes.. as for him it would be threw words that come on paper.. and later he sings..

as one thing.. i heard about him say.. dont know if it's true or not.. but he did mention somthing about how.. in his songs.. there realy not true.. what he says in them...
