The dance music world went into hyperspace earlier this week with the news the club queen of NYC is to join up with superstar dj David Guetta the word from TMZ is “Paris Hilton is training her ass off … working with some of the BIGGEST DJs on Earth … in a brand new quest to become the most POWERFUL female house musician of all time … TMZ has learned ” . This awesome news of course got some hating heading towards the divine Ms P and we decided to ask the lady her side of this amazing story .
SO PARIS TELL US ABOUT YOUR LOVE OF HOUSE MUSIC?
‘As a native New Yorker House music has always been around me from a very young age , my good friend Eric Morillo snuck me into his club the Paradise Garage when i was 11 yrs old and it was like – Wow , it blew my mind , seeing all these black people in one place that wasn’t part of the public transport made me realise that NY was very diverse and i fell in love with House that night.
WHO ARE YOUR INFLUENCES?
‘All the old guys like Oakenfold , Guetta , Peter Tong , the people that rescued the music from a suburb in chicago and gave it to the world . We went to Ibiza first five years ago and House had not reached there yet, the club we went to with Sean Coombs played Hip Hop and we all said then how cool it would be to bring the music here , nowadays thanks to David and the Swedish Housers those clubs that were full of kids dancing all night and only drinking water are full of our kind of people , sharing Cristal from the VIP and the clubs can now charge much more for entry and drinks , you have people like David to thank for that , everyone is earning much more money – the clubs and the Djs , i wish the haters could look at the bar till receipts at the end of the night and they would be like ‘ OMG .’
WHERE WILL YOU LEARN YOUR DJ TRADE?
Probably at Pacha in Ibiza next summer with David , the owners have already said it could be the first 100 Euro entry the islands ever seen , i’m like WOW what a honour to go into clubbing history like that , like .
WILL YOU PRE RECORD YOUR ‘SHOW’ LIKE DEADMOUSE AND SEBASTIAN LEDGER OR WILL YOU PRACTISE YOUR ASS OFF?
Some of the show will have to be pre-recorded as no one wants to see the performer with her head down twiddling knobs or looking through her CD’s , its about connecting with the crowd and for that you have to be looking great and feeling even like greater . I have a vintage Bozak mixer in my music room and high end monitors that Dj Harvey installed for me , he will also collaborate on my album.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE ‘HATERS’ OF DAVID GUETTA?
Like he earns more in 2 hours than these people in a whole year in there dreary lives so why would anyone care , David has a new film out and Frankie Morales who’s like a total legend in House music is giving him love so why cant everyone else , imagine how dull places like Pacha in Ibiza would be without David and House music . I also get some haters you know after the ‘queen of House ‘ headlong some sad fuck said Lolletta Holloway was the real queen of house , i U tubed her and found that amazing ‘Ride on Time ‘ track , she looks amazing in that video and im like OMG she has to collaborate with David and me on the record so my people are talking to her people and its going to happen , maybe a duet or she could do backing vocals . Im so excited i cant believe its all happening so quickly .. everyone is getting into House nowadays my friends the Kardashians are presenting a DVD tutorial of Cubase and Logic set to a back drop of South Beach in Miami and the Jersey Shore guys have reopened The Zanzibar in Jersey with kim and myself headlining to opening night as we say like – H.O.U.S.A.
