I've been doing a vegetarian-ish diet lately, in that instead of eating meat for every single main meal + in my sandwiches I now eat maybe one helping a week. My main meals now consist of vegetable packed soups, risottos, grains such as Barley, Buckwheat, Oats & Bulgur Wheat, lentils, dried fruits (organic, not those with preservatives) lots of fruit & salads and oatmeal breakfasts. I still use cows milk and cheeses and stuff but I've lost a lot of weight (about 7lbs in 6 weeks just from this alone, i've still eaten my sugary desserts too) I feel on most days very energised & more clear in mind. I have a friend who believes hardcore in veganism & he's the healthiest but strongest person I know. His metabolism is perfect & he barely has an ounce of fat on him at all + plays semi-professional football. Now I'm using meat I use odd things like a chicken breast, occasional bacon (least processed as possible), Duck breasts, turkey etc. Could kill for some lamb sometimes though. |
good to hear, ian. i've attempted to remain vegan repeatedly, but I have failed miserably. i try not to eat meat everyday, but i do exercise quite alot. Optimal breakfast is cereal and fruit, then a granola bar in between lunch and breakfast. I love Salmon, albacore tuna, and oysters. I do enjoy sugary sweets every now and then, but i limit myself on my bread intake. I eat beans and rice, and chicken breast quite often. I try running on average 4 miles three-to-four times a week, but i also walk my cocker spaniel everywhere, so she's happy; and since i don't have an office (day) job anymore, i can plan my days accordingly: i have the entire day to do whatever i want, and at night i work extremely hard.
I've never been happier
please get back to me on that message i sent you.
