Labels don't make music. Musicians do. I mean why don't you just have a link in your Facebook page to PayPal checkout to buy your track, and

I agree mostly. If a label generates just a 100 Digital sales on a single you should do it yourself.
If a label actively strives to add value to an artist's brand and vice versa I think they can both stil exist and cooperate. I'd like to see a record label that differentiates their brand from all the others. Being a pure genre label or on beatport isn't enough. I'd like to see a record label with a genuine unique selling point. Something no other label has. In the dance music, imo, there isn't one.
