I voted incorrect, cuz I may speak several languages, Э'm still a blonde () haha
I speak and write Dutch, English, German, French and Spanish
And I alo learned Latin and Greek (the ancient language) but I hardly remember anything of it....
Oh yea..and also one sentence in Danish: Jeg elskar Deg (?) which means.......I luuuuuv yah!
And I don't speak Frisian, although I live in Fryslan!!!! And I'm so proud of it!!! (Frisian is the farmers' language) hahahahaaa

me, i speak:
* English
* Japanese (supposedly it's my native tongue but... i question that often LOL )
* Spanish... i took it in school for about 5yrs....
i believe that english could be considered the hardest language... though it IS Latin based, if u live in a country such as Japan/Korea/China, the language is so different sounding that it is hard to accomodate to the sound of english...if u get wut i mean.... also u don't come across it very often. i'll use Japanese as an example but they don't have the a character that is equivielent to R or L so ppl have a hard time distinguishing the sound of R and L..... also the english grammar has so many odds and ends that it's really difficult to fully grasp it.... just my 2cents though.....
man, i'm so incredibly envious of all the europeans b/c they come across so many different languages often... congenital linguist, eh? Lucky duck...

I don't think English is based on Latin, ofcourse it has some Latin/Greek words in it, but it is mainly an Anglo-Saxon lanuage right?
