Albums I think are great that might be concidered progpsy. Do note whether I put prog or progsy I'm not making a distinction.

Blue Planet Corporation- Blue Planet (prog/goa crossover prog)
Deviant Species-In The hands of the randomizer (minimalpsy/dark prog)
Autonomech-I/O (dark prog)
Electric Universe-Cosmic experience (excellent overall, and some tracks would be concidered prog)
Highpersonic Women-Alternative Energy Source (very much prog) http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music...ve-energysource ektoplazm (free and legal download) link
Hux Flux-Division by Zero (prog)
Noosphere - Radiated (might be concidered prog, probably a bit iffy)
Pick-The Furious EP http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/pick-the-furious
Sensiant-Blue Neevus (from what I've heard, this is the epitomy of dark prog, it's the only sensient album I've heard though)
Sun Project-Zwork (progpsy)
Sun Project-Insectified (progpsy/chill)
Son Kite-Colours (progpsy)
Tegma-Encoded/Decoded (progpsy)
Tetrameth - The Electic Benevolence (zenon style dark prog... but morning mood throughout)
Ticon-Rewind (progpsy)
Ticon-Zero after six (progpsy)
V/A Mechanics of Awakening (dark prog)
VA Psytravellever volume 2 (some tracks would be prog) http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/psytraveller-vol-2
VA Royal Flush volume 4 (progpsy)
Vibrasphere-Archipelago (progpsy/chill)
Vibrasphere - Compilation tracks (progpsy)
VA - Spiral Trax - Swedish Goa Trance & Progressive (prog/goa crossover prog)
Perfect Stranger - Changed (prog)
Cojurious One - The Art of Mindfucking (darkprog)
Dragon - In.Formation (a crossover between darkpsy with a progish buildup)

Downbeat/ambient/psydub crossovers with progpsy:
Huva Network - Distances
Huva Network - Ephemeris
Ocelot - One (sortof)
Solar Fields-Blue moon station (definitely one of my top 10 albums ever)
Solar Fields-Movements
Solar Fields- Mirrors edge soundtrack (breaks/psydub/ambient with a big progpsy influence)
Solar Fields-Extended
Solar Fields-Leaving home
Distant System - Spiral Empire

Thanks for these recommendations, gonna totally have to take a listen. And Mirror's Edge is one of my favorite games of recent years; hearing Solar Fields was doing the music is what originally piqued my interest in it. Son Kite is also awesome, I'm quite partial to this one

been into psy for a while now, follow artists like christopher lawrence, jOOf, infected noise, magnus. for me psy represents the progression of true trance which is by definition, a genre that is hypnotic.

I still dont understand how artists like avb, above + beyond call their music trance.

I still don't understand how the only thing you EVER contribute to any thread in MD is to praise Christopher Lawrence and J00F, or to bash commercial trance jocks. Your taste is so one dimensional you must be boring as fuck.

I've really been digging Neelix, DJ Fabio & Moon, and Interactive Noise for the past couple of years.

people tend to fall back on a few artist far too often which is why you get a lot of butthurt people in the scene. Just learn to enjoy trance as a hole and stop praising a single entity all the time. It's good to have legends and your idols from time to time. However, try to find new talent.PS Christopher Lawrence is one big arrogant douche. His Mr.& Mrs Smith project sucksass. He's a Mr. I know trance wannabie...Don't give a fuck about his views but he's a cocky mother ******. Dude bashes swedish house mafia but a few months ago he remixed LMFAO...Hypocrite asshole.

I generally love songs that have depth and build an atmosphere of feelings in my mind. As for psy and goa if the the track is structured and sounds good, it can be brillant. But i have heard some that are just all over the place, particularly goa :O

Found this beauty 9 months ago still as good as the first time i set my ears upon her

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOjjnIPwd7c

Also anyone know any songs similar to this ? Sounds a bit like infected mushroom.

I've been listening to psy for a couple of years now and it's probably the music I listen to the most. Some of my favourite and most listened psy artists are currently:
- Ovnimoon: Magnetic Portal, Geometric Poetry and Family Of Light are my favourite albums
- Vibrasphere: I like all albums, but Archipelage is my favourite one
- Human Blue
- E-Clip
- Lyctum
- Liquid Soul

I'm also listening more and more to psychill/ambient/downtempo music.
Artists I like to mention here are mostly coming from the Ultimae Records label:
- Solar Fields
- Carbon Based Lifeforms
- HUVA Network
- Asura
- Aes Dana

now you say ektoplazm if you have not done yet and like fast driving psy go check Cybernetika's "The scythe of orion" album, really really cool. I have cut the instrumental intros because are a bit senseless when you've listened several times the album but apart from that is ace.

archipelage is one of my all time favorite albums. there is so much cool psy ambient around and it doesnt get much recognition.

nicola copobianco (liquid soul) is an excellent producer.

Actually, I think Archipelago is generally regarded as a classic album in the psy scene, although personally I prefer Exploring The Tributaries.

I personally started off with many of the progpsy/morning artists (don't get me wrong, I'm still a huge fan) although my tastes have moved into a slightly more psychedelic direction. Not into Darkpsy but stuff with a higher tempo like Dick Trevor, Aphid Moon, Laughing Buddha, Master Blasters etc. More of the cross between Morning-Full On and more traditional psy.

I recommend Sonic Species to pretty much everyone who are sort of in between the Trance/Psy world. I saw their live PA at Sunrise in a Festival not to far from here and its incredible Trance influenced stuff. Here are some vids of their live PA from the festival and elsewhere.
