lol @ suzuki being 4

I misspoke. Your brakes failing won't cause you to drive into a wall, it's the gas pedal getting stuck to hardware on the floor.

2.17 million cars.

Subaru's are more reliable than Toyotas and Hondas.

I see, I was looking at 2010 data a site, Mazda (also at the top for long) now also got above both.
It surprises me to see Subaru was at rank 11 in U.S. sales in 2011.
Over here it was rank 28 in 2011 with just 0.18% of all sold cars.

Oh, thought that that happened because U.S. Prius drivers can't drive

You make it look like 2 million cars had the throttle issue. No, there was a brake issue which Toyota found themselves. They were so embarrassed they recalled every single prius that had it to fine tune them and I believe the CEO quit over it as well.

The throttle thing is bullshit. There was one guy who reported it, and even after extensive testing under the same conditions they were never able to reproduce it. Besides, even with a jammed throttle he would still have been able to stop the car either by using the bloody brakes (which work even with full throttle because they interrupt the fuel flow) or by putting it into neutral.
After that every accident that happened with priusses were blamed on this issue for no reason. It only appeared to happen in the US, what a coincidence.

Right, because a massive multi-national company would recall 2 million vehicles for no reason you fucking dolt.

They recalled them because of a self found brake issue, as a precaution. And because they're Japanese, and they really care about these things.
Most manufacturers wouldn't bother with something like that. There are plenty of examples of manufacturers selling fatally flawed cars without a care in the world.

This.

Bierheld, don't try arguing with Stephen. He's a nice enough guy, but fucking daft as all hell on occasion.

Uuuuuuuh..... Lancer Evolution!??!? But if you want a family car and have lots of kids stay away from it, if you're single a willing to live life in the fast lane without a doubt get the Evo IX, or if you like the newest one get the Evo X.
