Another one in Pulp Fiction is the long take following Jules and Vincent along the corridor, to the apartment door, round the corner and then back to the door. i could tell you from the md's mouth that the music selection was used to narrate the change in time. The very fact that period music was uses original music is pretty fucking obvious. Yes scorcese picked music from the year that was happening in gf but it was more to do with the character in question.. The usage of voice overs is also a technique over used in these types of films as it is in casino. But you seem to find robocop and judge dread the holy grail of film making so I don't think we will see eye to eye. I think perhaps you are slightly myopic when it comes to music, film and art in general. Your ability to be an ass is unquestionably impressive.
