Yea, I get that way when I am in the Oregon high desert. To stand up on a mountain and not see any large bodies of water anywhere on the horizon is really strange. After a week or so down there I really start to get a claustrophobic feeling, which is funny because its such a wide open space. I just don't see ocean and I am like "WOAH WAIT, HOW DO YOU GUYS GET OUT?"

e- Liberty Village is the only place where you actually have some sort of community.

Thats because Van sits in one of the most picturesque areas of the PNW. It'd be stupid to make the city ugly, so they don't do it. Thats the mentality out here, in the US and Canada.
