Thumbs up

Like Az said. I personally think this year has been amazing for trance, you just have to look hard. And if you are still bored after looking hard, I suggest delving into a different genre like psytrance for a change. When I get bored with trance, I dig into psytrance and by the time I get bored with that and head back to trance, chances are several new tracks have come out that I like. Although I have to admint I'm becoming more and more picky as time goes on. If you think Armin, Tiesto, PVD are just playing cheese like many of you have said, try seeing Infected Mushroom or Astral Projection. Chances are you'll have a blast and your ears won't hear a single slice of cheese.

I think in 99/98 was the same quality like now, only you didn't hear all the crap, because it wasn availabel for you, the DJs didn't play it. You got the good stuff from the DJs, radio ... and that is what stays in your mind!

I listen to trance since 1995 (God'S Groove, Komakino...); 1998-99 were GREAT (and BETTER) years for trance.
Of course, there weren't all these release groups, but excellent websites with direct downloads instead : mp3factory, shadow-zone, meettechno... And most of time with newest quality (and bad) tunes.

So i can compare with 2002 : no way, nothing can beat 98-99 or even 1997...

That's my opinion
