well line up leaves some wanting more. Adam and Ida b2b been majorly on point this past year though and Awakenings is all about the production. What they do at Gashouder is bananas. Wonder if they'll be able to get permits for that fireworks display they always do in the dome.

Hammerstein is way too tiny and compacted to even think of doing a fireworks display.

I went to Epic 2.0 there, and the floor was an absolute disaster. Not to mention half of the people will be stuck in the balcony levels.

Just doesn't make sense to have it there, why wouldn't they use the same venue TimeWarp just used??

I'm looking into the St. Martins thing.

I can find a cheap way there but Can't find any reasonably priced flights out of the island. Anyone have any tips?

nonstop flights from South Florida are about $600. Layover flights are in the 300s but with an 8 hour travel time.

it's gonna be a hassle or quite expensive to get out there. and the lineup needs some more pure techno

btw, Ticketmaster can go fuck itself. Just snagged a pre-sale Awakenings NYC ticket for $62. And then Ticketmaster decided they should make a $20 premium off my one ticket. $82 for an 8 hour show at Hammerstein Ballroom which is apparently not the greatest of choices for show like that. Hope the Awakenings crew comes through with a good setup...

Honestly I do think they venue is going to be limiting. At least I'll get a chance to check out Verboten and Output.

Yeah kind of ruins any appeal of a cheaper option than Miami.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't get the allure of going to the Caribbean for a dance fest

I don't remember what it was called exactly, but they had one of these earlier this year. Watched a few live streams of it.

Not my cup of tea. Most people are there more for the luxurious part of it and not the music, as far as I could tell. That kind of crowd.

But hey, if you have the loot to throw around, why not.

Not sure exactly what you listen to, but check for Resolute and Blk Market parties that weekend first. I would avoid Verboten unless they have someone you really want to see (crowd is awful and the sound not that great in my opinion). Output these days is not far behind, but Funktion one there and the side room "panther room" is one of the best spots to chill in all of Brooklyn. Holiday weekend both of those clubs have potentially to be slammed, just figured I'd give the disclaimer.

Thanks for the tips. Haven't been to NYC in more than a few years now so haven't had a chance to check out any of those clubs yet -- amazing that those two places are already dealing with shitty crowds. I'm pretty open minded when it comes to electronic music but I definitely gravitate more towards the techier side of things. Checked Blkmarket and it appears they won't be doing a party that weekend. Resolute very well could be but it's not listed yet. It would be ideal if there was some kind of really good warehouse type of event that Saturday night.
