Don't really drink much since I split with the ex a few years ago
She liked Sauternes and champagne. Basically anything expensive that people would recognize as expensive. I didn't mind the taste but I regret all the money,
I still have crates of it. I just give them to people for special occasions. I've been trying to sell a few of the Sauternes but Ya .....
Honesty, a pint of draft is all I need and I i like stuff from Alsace.

She did have good taste though; I do love good Champagne. Sauternes are really a very niche wine - I treat them really as dessert wines and I don't really know how you can sit down and drink through a bottle. Too sweet for me.
I will say though if you have any Yquem for sale, PM the vintages and I might have one or two off you?
I thought you couldn't drink?

I gave it up involuntarily, I was so depressed that even after one tallboy I would feel the depression thicken consistently. I've restructured my diet and live much healthier these days, but I still turn down alcohol for the time being.

I'll be giving it up when I start trying to get pregnant. Until then I'm cramming as much boozing into my summer as I can stand. I was hungover as fuck yesterday and had to go out again last night for a friend's birthday. It was dreadful until I got another shine on, and today I actually feel pretty great.
But it's Sunday. And on Sunday we drink Caesars. Lol.

Had a bit much last night.
I really prefer weed to booze.

You know I actually haven't enjoyed some wine in a couple months. I got a wine of the month club 4 month membership gifted to me for my birthday; the last two bottles were delivered in February and that was the last time I drank wine. It's just more of a commitment to open a bottle of wine and I don't like drinking a lot through the week when I'm working.

Same here, although I don't imbibe much of anything these days. Pretty much had to quit everything during my marathon training, and I've realised I prefer being clear-headed and wide-awake. Intoxication is a purely social thing, these days.
A good friend of mine is a wine expert (but not a sommelier) and she's going to do a wine tasting night for my girlfriends and I. Really excited, especially to learn more about whites. I feel pretty comfortable around reds and certainly know what and why I like what I like, but am just developing a palette for whites.
