I don't think it's okay unless you're a concerned close friend trying to help and think that telling them will be a wakeup call

It's the people who believe they will always be fat, because they've always been fat, because they're naturally fat, who are beset with the most problems. I'm sure there's some physiological truth to that- in part or in whole- but fatalistically accepting that this is how you're destined to be makes it easy to ignore your own wellness, and so many fat people wind up getting even fatter and unhealthier than they would otherwise be.

But body composition is definitely for real. Even when I was in the best shape of my life- a successful distance runner weighing in at an ultra-lean 147 pounds- there was still something...husky about my appearance. I was skin and bones and fat, and I remember looking longingly at my competitors with their traditional lanky builds. But the simple fact is I'm built like a boxer, and there was squat I could do about that. Looking back, I actually much prefer my natural build, and only wish I had embraced by outer mesomorph much sooner.
