I've been enjoying it this afternoon while working. It's very 2001 (read: dark as hell and shitloads of drums) which normally I don't get on board with, but the recording is just distorted enough to give you that eyelids-vibrating-from-the-bass club intensity this kind of filthy dark tackle needs to fully make sense.

EDIT: Also, I've had Depeche Mode - I Feel Loved in my head all week without remembering what it was, so it was quite amusing to hear it turn up here.

I'm given to understand that it's only Blades for the first two hours or so, actually, and then David Coleman, but am not sure. Might explain the David Coleman track in the third hour.

Where are you getting this insider info from? Without having played the whole set, there seem to be sections (such as the Bulgarian - Empress - Resurrection sequence) that seem too similar to the GU:009 tracklist to not be Sasha, but they occur right through the mix. I know these two would often prefer do a couple of hours each when they were "B2B", but I have also seen them live B2B (albeit in 2019) and they were genuinely doing 2-3 tunes each before swapping.

Fucking hell, how fast are they playing by the end? The Chain is at 138bpm to start with, and when they play it here it sounds like it should be soundtracking a Benny Hill sketch.

Good question - I've no memory of whose insider info this may have been originally. You're probably right about them b2bing it in some way. I agree at least the tracklist suggests this is the case.
